2004 Chevy Suburban
The good and the bad.
The bad first.
Only the rear brakes work at this point because the front brake lines are rusted.
The steering gear box and the master cylinder both leak and should be replaced at some point.
The back hatch doesn't open - just needs to get to a garage to fix this.
The fuel filler hose is just a straight shot of heavy rubber hose and I am only able to put in about 10 gallons at a time before it refuses to take anymore. It is probably a breather valve issue.
There is some type of electrical drain issue that I have been unable to figure out.
I have a manual disconnect at the battery that works just fine.
Each time I'm ready to drive I raise the hood and connect - then disconnect when I am done.
Close to 200 thousand miles - but odometer not showing at this point
So for those reasons - the vehicle is only 1800 - but 1800 firm.
Now for the good.
The engine starts and runs wonderfully - I had a Tahoo with the same engine that ran forever.
Transmission is just fine.
The four wheel drive works fine also.
The tires have plenty of tread.
I have driven this vehicle for the past year - regularly but have just been careful with my speed because the brakes are compromised.
However - before you get the above items fixed - this vehicle will get you around Juneau just fine.
